Skanska builds new office building for Castellum in Malmö, Sweden, for about SEK 920 M

Skanska has signed a contract with the real estate company Castellum to build E.ON's new Nordic headquarters in Nyhamnen, Malmö, Sweden. The contract is worth about SEK 920 M, which will be included in the order bookings for Sweden for the first quarter 2020.

The project covers 36,000 square meters of gross area and the building will be between 8 and 9 floors high with a restaurant, gym and roof terrace, with the opportunity to work outdoors during the summer.

The office building meets high sustainability requirements and will be certified according to Breeam. In addition, great focus is being placed on creating an attractive interior and the intention is also to certify the office according to WELL. WELL is based on medical and scientific research and based on how the built environment affects us.

Construction start is scheduled for the second quarter 2020 and the office building will be completed during the first quarter 2023.
