Skanska builds psychiatric hospital in Kristiansand, Norway, for NOK 530 M, about SEK 530 M

Skanska has signed a contract with Helse Sør Øst to build a psychiatric hospital in Kristiansand, Norway. The contract is worth NOK 530 M, about SEK 530 M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the second quarter 2020.

The new psychiatry building will have an area of 10,750 square meters with 80 beds, of which 10 places are dedicated for child and adolescent psychiatry, outpatient care, treatment rooms and kitchen/dining room and technical rooms.

The building is designed and developed to stimulate the health care and help provide the best treatment for patients through a "healing architecture", good working conditions for the employees and through efficient operation. The building will be constructed according to energy class A with a reduced carbon footprint.

The project starts immediately. The building is expected to be completed in April 2023.
