Skanska modernizes the D1 motorway in the Czech Republic for about CZK 1.4 billion, about SEK 580 M

Skanska has signed a contract with the Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic to upgrade 14 kilometers of the D1 motorway in the Czech Republic. The contract is worth CZK 1,4 billion, about SEK 580 M, which will be included in the order bookings for Europe for the first quarter 2020.

The current project includes demolition of old structures, repaving of road surfaces, construction of bridges and animal overpasses. The modernization of the D1 motorway, the main transport route in the Czech Republic, started in 2013.

Construction starts in March 2020 and will be completed in September 2021.
