Smart choice Yale truck is shortlisted for top award

Yale Europe Materials Handling has been shortlisted in the prestigious Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) Awards, which is now open for public voting.

Yale is in the running for an “Archie” in the ergonomics category for its ground-breaking MP Series pallet truck, designed with numerous features to make it highly productive, more energy efficient and easy to operate.

The FLTA Awards scheme, which is celebrating its 21st anniversary year, is the most prestigious annual event in the materials handling industry calendar. The awards encourage and reward examples of excellence throughout the fork lift truck industry and culminate in an Oscars-style ceremony.

The winners will be determined by an online ballot which is now open for voting. Simply visit http://fork-truck.org.uk/flta-awards/vote. Voting closes on January 15th 2016.

The Yale MP Series Pedestrian Powered Pallet truck is a strong contender in the ergonomics category with its unique enhanced productivity capabilities and a smoother and more efficient operator experience.

The Yale MP 16-22 Series introduces the Yale Smart Lift™ and Yale Smart Slow Down™ technology. Studies by Yale found that operators using a single fluid motion to lift and move loads resulted in increased productivity as a result of reduced cycle times. Yale Smart Lift allows all operators to execute this method by allowing them to lift loads and start transporting the pallet before it is at full lift, eliminating the need for the operator to continually hold the lift button while waiting for the lift cycle to complete.

Yale Smart Slow Down further increases operator confidence by helping to ensure that the load remains stable as the truck changes direction. The technology automatically detects any significant turns and reduces the speed of the truck accordingly, assisting the operator to maintain stability of the truck and load through the corner.

Stability and balance are optimised by the truck’s integral design which features a reinforced heavy duty frame making it one of the most stable pallet trucks available today.
