Smart warehousing logistics thanks to maximum energy efficiency

For the first time, the leading intra-logistics trade fair, CeMAT, and the HANOVER TRADE FAIR are taking place simultaneously from 23 to 27 April. The aim is to achieve a further intensification of networking and against this background, the innovative management systems employed for industrial batteries by the specialist Banner company will move even more into the spotlight. Accordingly, apart from its range of top quality batteries, on Stand H17 in Hall 26 at the CeMat, Banner will also be showcasing its comprehensive service and consulting capabilities regarding its innovative and sustainable SELECT charging with active inverter technology.

Networking and digitisation represent the shared and most important themes in all economic and business areas. Therefore, this year the world’s leading trade fair for intra-logistics, the CeMAT, has been networked with one of the most prestigious industrial trade fairs worldwide and with immediate effect has become attached to the HANOVER TRADE FAIR. This move is very much in line with the motto, “A meeting of fourth industrial revolution logistics and industry.” Accordingly, from 23 to 27 April, the emphasis at the CeMAT will be on digitisation in production, networked energy systems and intelligent logistics solutions. There is a strong trend towards smart logistics, which involves robotic automation, information provision with the aid of wearables/mobile devices and the generation of real time information concerning inventory and delivery status. As a manufacturer of industrial batteries, owing to its targeted offers for maximum energy efficiency at this year’s CeMAT Banner is set to stand out with regard to the topic of smart warehousing logistics (Stand H17, Hall 26). As Josef Berger, the Banner Group’s Industrial Battery Business Area Manager, explains: “Intelligent solutions have long been a major priority at our company. Therefore, we can recommend our power packages, which are based on our top quality batteries and innovative Banner SELECT charging technology. Moreover, depending on operational intensity and fleet size these packages can be extended to include control systems, fleet management and the corresponding services. Therefore, this topic forms the centrepiece of our exhibit.”

Josef Berger goes on to add: “We are constantly working on the creation of possibilities that would allow the energy coming from the mains during the charging to also be supplied to industrial trucks with minimum losses. Such a development would also result in simultaneous operating cost optimisation.” In addition, this approach would lead to the bulk of the energy employed being actually used for a specific purpose and not the heating of the energy source. Battery life would thus be maximised and as Josef Berger says: “In short, within the scope of our possibilities, we are always interested in the optimisation of the lifetime costs of energy packages for our customers.” Apart from intelligent energy solutions, naturally enough, on its stand Banner will also be presenting its entire current portfolio of top quality industrial batteries, together with information regarding its comprehensive range of consulting and services in the energy management field.
