Smooth sailing in France with Grove crane

A Grove GMK6300L all-terrain crane has lifted a 40 m trimaran out of the water at its home port of Trinité-sur-Mer. The boat, owned by Spindrift racing, had recently travelled back from Guadeloupe, having won second place in the Route du Rhum single-handed yacht race. It was removed from the river Crac’h by the 300 t capacity Grove crane, supplied by Barbé-based Merdrignac Levage, before being transported back to the team’s shipyard in Vannes for its winter refit. The GMK6300L features an 80 m (263ft) boom – the longest in its class – and its compact design ensures an excellent lifting capacity with minimum disturbance to the surrounding area.
