SMS CZ is expanding its range of light disc cultivators with three new mounted models: ONTARIO 400 H, ONTARIO 500 H, and ONTARIO 600 H. These machines complement the existing ONTARIO 300 mounted cultivator and the trailed ONTARIO 500 and 600 models, which were upgraded two years ago. The new additions bring several technical improvements aimed at increasing work efficiency, residue flow, and operator comfort.
The new ONTARIO H models feature hydraulically foldable wings /two-section design/ perpendicular to the machine´s axis. Compared to the previous generation, the new cultivators offer increased clearance under the frame and larger spacing between working sections, significantly reducing the risk of blockages, especially from plant residues.
“At SMS Agro, we successfully bring several new products to market every year in response to farmers’ evolving needs. The new ONTARIO H models prove that even in the category of light disc cultivators, we can offer top-tier technology with an excellent price-performance ratio,” says Petr Jirsa, CEO of SMS CZ.
Customers can now choose between 510 mm discs /standard/ or 560 mm discs /optional/. The tine geometry has been modified to provide improved disc guidance and a more aggressive working angle. The original single-tine design has been replaced by double tines made of high-strength material, mounted on the frame using rubber silent blocks. This construction increases the stiffness and flexibility of the working unit, enabling the machines to perform reliably even in demanding conditions. Maintenance-free bearings are standard. The machine’s wings are independently mounted for optimal ground contour following, and the working depth is hydraulically adjustable up to 12 cm, making it ideal for shallow cultivation.
Three working widths are available – 4, 5, and now also 6 meters. A wide range of accessories is available, including APV seeding units for cover crops or levelling boards /for 500 H and 600 H models/.
Additional advantages of the new mounted models include easier manoeuvrability during transport, smaller storage requirements, and a lower purchase cost compared to trailed versions.
“We expect strong interest in these machines, particularly in the BENELUX region, where demand for this type of disc cultivator is high. That's why the new models will be showcased for the first time at the Foire Agricole exhibition in Luxembourg from July 4–6 and later at the Libramont Fair in Belgium from July 25. We warmly invite everyone to visit the SMS CZ stand,” says Petr Jirsa.
The innovation journey at SMS CZ continues. Among the next product launches, customers can look forward to the 4-meter SMART seed drill and a modernized TERAN F front Cambridge roller.
