Snorkel UK Division Grows To Meet Increasing Demand

Snorkel UK, the direct sales and service operation for Snorkel in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, is expanding its team to meet increasing demand.

Launched in 2012, Snorkel UK is responsible for all Snorkel lift sales in the region, and also provides a comprehensive after-sales and spare parts service, supported by the UK-based Snorkel manufacturing facility in Washington, Tyne & Wear.

As demand for new equipment increases, Snorkel UK is recruiting for 9 new roles which will boost its nationwide sales and service capacity. The roles include 4 regional sales managers, 4 regional after-sales support engineers, and a sales coordinator based at the UK factory.

Three of the roles have already been filled, and recruitment is continuing for the remaining vacancies. Jim Martyr joins Snorkel UK as the Sales Manager for the South-East region, focusing upon the City of London and surrounding counties. Jim has experience working within the powered access industry, as well as being mechanically trained and has ran his own business for a number of years.

Simon Eyre will support Jim in the South-East region as After-Sales Support Engineer. Simon joins Snorkel UK from AFI-Uplifts, where he worked as a Field Service Engineer. He has worked in the powered access industry for over 10 years and has a mechanical engineering background.

Based in the UK facility, Ray Rawling has been appointed as Sales Coordinator for Snorkel UK. He will handle the day-to-day machine and parts ordering for Snorkel UK customers, and will work alongside Snorkel’s existing customer services team.

Trevor Williamson, has been promoted to After Sales Support Manager for Snorkel UK, from his previous role as After Sales Service Engineer. Trevor will be responsible for managing the new service engineer team, ensuring continued customer satisfaction.

Mark Yarnold, General Manager for Snorkel UK said, “Growing the Snorkel UK team is essential to meet increasing demand for our products. Our plan is to create regional teams who can effectively service our customers’ needs. Our new team will be supported by our existing network of independent service engineers, delivering a top-quality after-sales provision for Snorkel UK customers.”

Matthew Elvin, Snorkel CEO, added, “Snorkel UK has been building its customer base and demand for Snorkel products during the past few years. The time is right to make a significant investment in our UK division, and we are excited to be creating jobs and further improving our customer support.”

The addition of the new roles for Snorkel UK follows the recent announcement that Snorkel & Xtreme Manufacturing are tripling their joint sales team in North America, in response to increased customer demand for both brands.

Visitors to Vertikal Days will have the opportunity to meet the new Snorkel UK team at Stand 411. Those interested in pursuing a career with Snorkel UK are also invited to visit the stand for an informal chat.
