The Italian manufacturer Socage will show five aerial work platforms at the APEX fair in Amsterdam – Stand 750:
forSte 12A: A new achievement of the company Socage - the new electric articulated aerial working platform without stabilization Forste 12A has been recently completed. Forste 12Ais able to reach a maximum working height of 11,9 meters, has a load capacity of 225 kg (two operators + tools) and a lateral outreach of 5 meters.
The ground-breaking idea of this platform is the fact that no stabilizers are required.
Forste 12A can be indeed assembled and disassembled on any truck of at least of 3,5 ton, without having to make big changes on the truck and without the aid of stabilizers.
To move the aerial part of the platform the user doesn’t need the engine of the vehicle, but just electricity. This platform therefore stands as a revolutionary working equipment for the market, since it can be seen as a simple and non-permanent work platform.
forSte 12VT: The VT series are telescopic aerial platforms mounted on vans, from 12 to 14 meters high, with or without jib. It is a new challenge for Socage, generally dealing with aerial platforms mounted on trucks, and it has been created to enter the van sector. VT platforms are ideal equipment for those who need space to work at height with tools. Typical users might indeed be electricians and operators of electric plants or power lines.
Socage telescopic aerial work platforms on vans are really fluid and fast while moving, performing more than one movement at a time, and very simple to use. On the basket there are three or four controls: one for vertical movements, one for the rotation, one for the extension of the boom and one for the jib.
Telescopic platforms, in general, are ideal for road work, since they are quite small and compact. The ForSte 12VT, mounted on Iveco Daily, can reach a maximum working height of 12,1 m and a maximum outreach of 8 m, with a maximum basket load of 120kg.
forSte 28D: The forSte 28D double articulated aerial platform does not represent something completely new for the company: the first 28m high aerial platform mounted on a 3,5 ton truck, that can be driven with a category B driving license, had been shown by the company in 2013 at the BAUMA fair. It though consists of an incredible goal in the aerial truck mounted work platform world, constantly looking for better performances on lighter and more compact vehicles. Even if the company has reached this notable result, Socage kept on working on this idea. Aware of the huge potential impact of the machine, having received feedbacks after having actual used it and taking into account the market needs, a new version has been designed.
forSte 37DJ: The fourth model that will be presented is the forSte 37DJ, a double articulated aerial platform with jib. This platform can reach more performing movements than a simple double articulated one. Indeed, the double articulation is equipped with a jib, which is a further articulation that helps overcoming easily aerial obstacles and performing better movements. The forSte 37DJ can be mounted on a 11 ton vehicle and reaches a 37.3 m working height, a 23 m outreach, and has a maximum load capacity of 300 kg (3 operators + tools). Despite its dimensions, the forSte 37DJ is very compact and easy to be used, perfect to be driven through city centers and narrow spaces.
forSte 54TJJ: forSte 54TJJ is a telescopic aerial platform with double jib that can be installed on a truck with a minimum g.v.w. of 26 tons. It does not represent a completely new product, but it does have indeed a big potential, and has proved to be a great success both in Italy and abroad. The platform can reach a maximum working height of 54 meters and has a maximum load capacity of 600 kg, but, mostly, a lateral outreach of 40 meters, still a challenge for many big platforms today, which represents the real strength of this platform. In addition, the second jib lets the operator perform movements not possible with a single jib platform. With several technological devices that make the platform really safe and easy to use, the forSte 54TJJ stands therefore as the very war horse of the company.
