Solintal LRD consolidates its Defense division by boosting R&D in a new agreement with the Spanish Army

Solintal LRD, in consortium with the company specialized in construction, public works and defense services, Max Equipment, has completed the armoring project of the cab of 3 Weycor loaders. This detachable structure put in place for the Spanish Army improves the protection of the operating team, thanks to ballistic glass, with a Stanag protection level 2, and Armox 500 bulletproof steel plates, the most resistant in the world and manufactured with cleaner steels than most.

The project, distributed from the Guadalajara Park and Center for Maintenance of Engineer Material (PCMMI), is already integrated as an essential element for the work carried out by the Army Corps of Engineers.

The tool has the potential structure used in the design of armored vehicles against ballistic threats and involved in homeland security missions and police operations. It also provides 360-degree protection for the workers inside, as well as a fully extended field of view of the machine and surrounding areas.

Along with this, a series of spotlight brackets have also been included on the roof and three cameras have been placed on the outside, so that the operator can view dead spots from inside the structure. Its emergency exit hatch gives operators the ability to quickly exit the cab, while providing rescue personnel with critical access to those inside.

The project is part of the transformation strategy of Solintal LRD´s Defense division, which aims to become one of the main national and international coordinators leading the defense ecosystem, with a key role in global security and sovereignty.

Increased participation in the sector

The position that Solintal LRD maintains in the national and international defense market is already allowing it to facilitate the incorporation of a portfolio of companies to large programs that the company is launching. At the same time, it is closing alliances to gain dimension and defend industrial interests.
