Speech at Shanghai Press Conference of BICES 2015

Qiao Jian: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all partners, exhibitors and media friends for the strong support on BICES exhibition for many years and thank you for your time to attend today's press conference. On behalf of the organizer of BICES, I warmly welcome all the guests here.

Since the first time Beijing BICES exhibition was held in 1989, 25 years have witnessed that it has developed into a powerful international event of the construction machinery industry and it has become the stage to display the overall development level of China’s construction machinery industry and the window for the world to get the insight into the development of China’s construction machinery industry. In order to hold BICES 2015 successfully, a large amount of preparation has been made. Now, I will make a brief introduction to you about the preparation on BICES 2015.

I. Establishing the international exhibition of construction machinery with Chinese characteristics

At present, China has become the world's largest producing base and market of construction machinery. According to data released by OFF Highway Research 2010, almost half the number of main construction machinery products are produced and sold in China.

Relying on the power of China’s construction machinery industry, we will give full play to the advantage of the exhibition in the construction machinery industry, refer to the opinions for this industry and attract international and domestic manufacturing enterprises of construction machinery to participate in the exhibition, making BICES the global platform of new technologies and products and the international exhibition of construction machinery with Chinese characteristics.

II. Striving to invite professional major customers and buyers

With the advantage of industrial exhibition, BICES has developed a long-term friendly and cooperative relationship with 46 customer organizations and associations in 16 industries domestically and with international customer organizations and chambers of commerce in more than 20 countries, including railway, water conservancy, hydropower, highway, bridge, municipal administration, mining, construction, petrifaction, metallurgy, water transport, coal, transportation and other major construction industries. The exhibition organizer will deepen the cooperation with the above enterprises and organizations and invite more professional buyers and customers together to BICES 2015.

With geographical and resource advantages of Beijing, we organize and invite hundreds of central and local construction and contractor units for large construction projects and related design institutes in Beijing to attend BICES 2015. Carry out the promotion of "BICES Visiting Program" and invite visitors in China, especially inviting customers and professional visitors from main sales regions of construction machinery, such as Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Sichuan and the northeast of China.

I. Carrying out influential publicity and promotion

We will cooperate with the media. Relying on friendly and long-term cooperative relation established with more than 200 professional magazines, newspapers, websites, television and radio and other mainstream media at home and abroad, BICES 2015 will make comprehensive multimedia promotion throughout the exhibition.

We actively use the mobile Internet technology to build a series of mobile service platforms for BICES 2015 exhibition, such as Weibo, Wechat, micro website and APP so that we can offer mobile online service for exhibitors and visitors anytime and anywhere and provide them with instant information about the exhibition.

To strengthen the promotion, we, as the exhibition organizer, will participate in nearly one hundred professional exhibitions and trade meetings at home and abroad and make full use of the database of ten thousands customers to publicize BICES 2015 to customers in major and emerging markets.

IV. Providing the most excellent exhibition facilities and the most convenient service

In order for long-term development and the upgrading of BICES, the organizer, on the basis of drawing on the experience from previous exhibitions and absorbing feedbacks and opinions from exhibitors and visitors, decides to move the exhibition to New Beijing International Exhibition Center from BICES 2015, to provide the international first-class exhibition facilities and experience for exhibitors and visitors. The new exhibition center has the following significant advantages:

First, the new exhibition center is equipped with more excellent exhibition facilities. It has eight standard indoor halls and two outdoor exhibition sites, covering an area of 155 hectares. The construction area is 400,000 square meters with the usable area of more than 200,000 square meters, which can provide more excellent facilities for exhibitors.

Second, supporting functions are much more improved. The exhibition center can provide a full range of Chinese and western food, shopping and leisure areas. There are more than 50 star hotels around the exhibition center, meeting the accommodation and conference demands of exhibitors and visitors.

Third, the transportation is very convenient. The exhibition center is only 7.5 km away from Beijing capital airport and the Subway Line 15 can arrive at the exhibition center and downtown. The road network composed by the surrounding three high-speed highways, the Fifth and Sixth ring roads will bring convenience to visitors and exhibitors.

Based on global top exhibition facilities and complete service facilities from the new exhibition center, the supporters and organizer of BICES will provide one-stop, humanized and convenient exhibition services by refined process and improved services. Meanwhile, Beijing is very beautiful in September. The rich tourism resources will provide more choices for the exhibitors’ business activities.

V. Organizing rich exhibition activities

BICES will continue to play the advantages of rich exhibition activities. During BICES 2015, we will host many special sessions, lectures and seminars together with international and domestic customers and industrial associations, covering industry development, technology innovation, operation management, marketing services, leasing and financing and other areas, to provide support for the sustainable development of the industry and the growth of enterprises.

We will continue to foster industrial exhibition culture and cultivate reserve talents. In BICES 2015, we will proceed with interest and creativity activities with BICES characteristics such as International Design Contests Of Construction Machinery and Special Vehicles and simulation operation and model clubs, etc. to support young talents to broaden their vision and inspire their potential, thus to explore professional elites, and improve the capacity of independent innovation in construction machinery industry.

We will continue to hold China International Emergency Rescue Equipment Exhibition and International Commercial Vehicle Exhibition which are closely related to the construction machinery industry, to offer visitors with more experience and gains.

Above all, the organizer of BICES will make full use of industrial advantages, give full play of the strength of all aspects, implement comprehensive promotion, organize extensive professional exhibitors and visitors, hold authoritative, professional and rich activities and improve exhibition facilities and services, in order to build an global-oriented exhibition, trading and cooperation platform of international construction machinery with Chinese characteristics for exhibitors and visitors.
