SVEZA Sets New Standard of Plywood for In-Situ Construction

In July 2015, SVEZA Group, a global leader in birch plywood manufacture, began to produce new-generation Sveza Deck 350 formwork plywood with a marking grid for slab formwork. It has been decided to replace ordinary plywood with special one in this segment due to the high loyalty of builders to the product.

“Builders appreciated SVEZA Deck 350 plywood due to its convenient use and top quality”, Julia Ermakova, Chief Marketing Officer of SVEZA Group, comments the shift to the new product. “It triggered the complete shift from the ordinary film faced plywood to a special product in the slab formwork segment”.

SVEZA Deck 350 plywood is used in concrete pouring of slabs with marking grids (spacing 25, 50 and 100 mm) facilitating the marking and cutting of form boards on construction sites. The grid can serve as a template for placing reinforcement bars. The surface of the product is coated with smooth, wear resistant film made in Germany (350 cycles in the Taber abrasion test). The film boasts high resistance to concrete pressure. The board is made of 100% birch plywood. It is available with standard thickness of 18, 21 mm and 1,220x2,440 mm size. The edges of SVEZA Deck 350 are painted with special water-based acrylic paint with good waterproof properties made in Finland.

According to consumers, the key features of the product not only facilitate the standard operations, but also keep the construction errors to a minimum. “The clear lines of the marking grid help builders to gage the cutting point on the plywood and lines of bar placement accurately to within one mm”, comments Maxim Kirsanov, Manager of “PromStroyKontrakt” Group of Companies. “It both helps builders and facilitates the inspection by regulatory authorities. The grid allows identifying any inaccuracies visually, thus, chances are high that it prevents any risk of making mistakes”.

The product was patented: SVEZA Deck 350 was registered by Rospatent as a utility model. SVEZA Group has an exclusive right to manufacture and sell film faced plywood with a marking grid in the Russian Federation.

“We are confident that SVEZA Deck 350 will not only make the work of builders easier, but provide the whole in-situ construction a powerful spur”, concluded Julia Ermakova. “It will result in more fast, safe and accurate construction!”
