T1255 surface excavation machine — powerful performance any way you cut it

The T1255 is designed specifically for precision excavation, a process that allows mine operators to selectively extract mineral seams in surface mining applications. Producing consistent-sized material in a uniform configuration allows for more efficient settings on secondary and tertiary crushing systems. Customer can choose either a chain drive or direct drive drum attachment depending on the application need. A chain drive drum provides more careful cutting capacity and allows for extraction of material close to the cut walls. The direct drive drum features drive motors attached directly to the cutter drum that help improve cutter drum efficiency. Both drum options feature a patented tilt feature that allows it to tilt 5 degrees in either direction for a smooth excavated area. Dual hydrostatic tracks offer independent rotation in either direction allowing the machine to quickly reposition up to 360 degrees in either direction for the next cut. The load control feature allows the machine to automatically adjust ground speed to use full engine horsepower, thus making the machine more productive. At up to 111 tonnes and a CAT C18 ACERT Tier 3 engine delivering 447.4 kW, the T1255 has the heft needed to handle big projects.
