Hannover. This year, TEKHNODREV Siberia will be held for the seventh time, from 10 to 13 September, in the city of Novosibirsk. The event ranks among Siberia’s biggest forest and timber industry fairs and is one of the most important fairs for the Russian forestry sector as a whole. This year marks the first time that Deutsche Messe will partner with RESTEC Exhibition Company to stage the showcase. Deutsche Messe has a presence in Russia via its wholly owned subsidiary, OOO Deutsche Messe RUS.
TEKHNODREV Siberia is part of RESTEC Exhibition Company’s Russia-wide portfolio of TEKHNODREV fairs, which keep local industry professionals abreast of the international state of the art in logging, transport and storage solutions, wood processing and furniture manufacturing technology, and biofuel production and applications.
The Russian market is becoming increasingly attractive to international business and promises above-average growth – a trend no doubt accelerated by Russia’s accession to the WTO in August 2012. “A good two years ago we decided to strengthen our position in the fast-growing Russian market and establish a Russian subsidiary, OOO Deutsche Messe RUS, in Moscow. We leverage this local presence in a number of ways. We generate business via directly owned events, via cooperative ventures with Russian trade fair operators and by organizing German national pavilions at trade fairs in Russia. Our decision to partner with RESTEC Exhibition Company for the TEKHNODREV Siberia wood and forestry technology trade fair is a logical extension of this and a key milestone in our foreign trade fair strategy. RESTEC is a highly experienced and competent trade fair partner with a deep understanding of the circumstances and requirements of the Siberian wood and forestry market,” said Svetlana Fedoseeva, CEO of OOO Deutsche Messe RUS.
