Telescopic-VFR machines take top technology award

McConnel’s state-of-the-art Telescopic-Variable Forward Reach (VFR) arm has picked up a prestigious international award from the organisers of Germany’s influential Demopark Show.

Demopark’s judges paid tribute to the new armset, presenting a silver medal for innovation to McConnel’s Dutch and German distribution partner JJ Dabekausen.

The judges recognised the major comfort and safety benefits of Telescopic-VFR technology and paid tribute to the productivity boost the machines would deliver when coupled with McConnel’s Easy Drive System which increases verge mowing speeds by up to 4.5 times.

Dabekausen general manager Jeroen Huijsmans said: “This award sends out the message to customers that when it comes to quality, performance and safety McConnel machines set the benchmark.”

Dabekausen has marked the award with an intensive sales drive throughout Germany targeting 18,000 potential customers in local government, landscaping and contracting  - promoting both VFR machines and smaller compact Power Arms .
