Thailand, the gateway to Southeast Asia’s construction and concrete industries

Part of the INTERMAT series, INTERMAT ASEAN and Concrete Asia will be held on 6-8 September, 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand. INTERMAT ASEAN - the Southeast Asian trade exhibition on construction and infrastructure; and Concrete Asia - the international exhibition for the Asian concrete sector, will be co-located for the very first time this September.

The industry outlook in Southeast Asia is promising, with the construction and cement output expected to increase till 2025*. The construction industry is forecasted to grow at an average rate of 8-12%** till 2019 with positive effects for construction sector, resulting in an increase in backlogs or the volume of work available. INTERMAT ASEAN and Concrete Asia serve as the perfect trade platform for the industry to explore the myriad of opportunities available, as well as discover the innovations in Asia.

Participating in Concrete Asia allows us to reach out to many Thai and Asian customers, which is what we are looking for.”

Thailand is actively positioning itself as the construction and concrete hub of Southeast Asia and is home to many industry players in the region. In 2017, more than 8,000 trade professionals attended INTERMAT ASEAN and Concrete Asia.
