The 3rd Linde Cup Forklift Skills Competition came to a successful close

On May 15th, the 3rd Linde Cup Forklift Skills Competition, Olympic Games of forklift industry, was successfully held in Linde (China) headquarter in Xiamen. The Director of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) Mr. Ma Zengrong, Secretary-general of China Industrial Truck Association (CITA) Ms. Zhang Jie, Customer Order Management and Logistics Director Mr. Mike Dickinson, Vice president of Camoplast Solideal Co.,Ltd., Linde Cup cooperative partner, Mr. Olivier Hubrecht, President and CEO of Linde(China) Mr. Chingpong Quek, Vice Presidents of Linde(China) Mr. Xie Dean, Mr. Patrick Thang and Mr. Aidan Michael Ryan attended the whole fabulous event.

In the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Chingpong Quek made a speech firstly. He claimed that Linde has always been keeping customer focus and offering professional material handling solutions for more than two decades in China, as well as focusing on the way of enhance users’ safety awareness. This 3rd Linde Cup Forklift Skills Competition is a good platform for multi-industry communication on safe operation and work efficiency. Nowadays logistics industry has become pillar industry of national economy. Mr. Ma Zengrong of CFLP said that the efficient operation of forklift truck plays an important role in the whole logistic links, the 3rd Linde Cup has already finished 40 cities’ selection among 3000 contestants, and will take the industry to a new level.

This is the first public welfare program to award outstanding contestants job qualification certificate in the industry, which was certificated by the human resources social security of China, Mechanical industry vocational skills appraisal guidance centers and CITA. Secretary-general of CITA Ms. Zhang Jie pointed out that Linde Cup truly promoted the skills and self-quality of industry practitioners, meanwhile spread the spirit of EHS, which also promoted the harmonious development of society.

As we all know, Linde FLT banded with China Green Foundation to donated an anti-haze forest in the opening ceremony of the 3rd Linde Cup on Jun.26th last year in Beijing. And now the forest is growing well. Global climate trend of haze has become more serious today, Linde here is to call upon all the communities to Protect environment and contribute to the motherland of the blue sky project.

In 2007, Linde Cup China Forklift Skill Competition was dubbed the "Olympic Gala of China Logistics Industry" and awarded “Largest-scale FLT competition” by Shanghai Guinness Record. Today, after 11 months’ competition, here comes the national final competition. All the guests pushed the starting gear in the kick-off ceremony and made the event a milestone.

The final competition divided into individual events and team events. All 25 teams went all out in the event. The results were announced in the Award Ceremony. Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. won the national champion and will attend Linde Stapler Cup in September in Germany and fight for China. The runner-up were Anheuser-busch Inbev Snow Beer Co., Ltd. and Chengdu Silverplow Cold-chain Warehouse and Logistics Co., Ltd., the latter team also won the Best Women’s Team award. And the third place went to Sinotrans High-tech Logistics (suzhou) Co., Ltd., Qoros Automotive Co. Ltd. And Chengdu shuangliu international airport aviation ground service Co., Ltd.
