The Paus telescopic swivel loader has made a name for itself on building sites and in civil engineering, but the Paus TSL 853 telescopic swivel loader is well respected by customers across the world for underground work as well. Naturally certain components have been adapted for the heavy-duty deployment in mining. The TSL 853 is also available with a quick-change system so that cassettes, such as load hooks, buckets or anfo chargers, can be fitted with ease. The Paus TSL 853 is a veritable all-rounder and can be used to replace other machines, like fork-lifts, loaders and platforms.

The combination of articulated steering and pivoting boom makes the telescopic swivel loader unbeatable in terms of flexibility and manoevrability. The loading system can be pivoted horizontally by up to ± 90 degrees to the left and right and extended up to a height of 5.5 metres, thereby extending the working range of the vehicle. Its lateral range is 5.30 metres, impressive given the vehicle's own compact dimensions! Measuring only 5.6 m x 1.9 m x 2.4 m (LxWxH), the loader comes into its own in tunnels as narrow as 2.5 m x 2.5 metres. The spacious and comfortable cab provides excellent visibility and an ergonomic driver's seat. Thanks to its hydrostatic drive, the TSL 853 can also master inclines at optimum speed. The loader is also raising the bar in terms of user-friendliness, as the central grease bank adjacent to the access area ensures convenient servicing of the engine chassis. Other components are, as always, readily available at Paus.

Unique on the market: The Paus telescopic swivel loader can be equipped with a working cage and is thereby transformed into the approved self-propelled TSL 853 T7 lifting platform. Operation of the platform, with all drive and operating functions, can be directly controlled from the cage (in compliance with DIN EN 280). The TSL 853 T7 is generally used for stabilising tunnels but is also ideal for maintenance, loading and transport work. Mining work can also be performed from the cage, as well as the supply of air and water to the rock face. Thanks to the vehicle’s self-propulsion, all work can be performed by a single operator.

The working cage measuring 1.0 m x 1.4 m has a payload of 300 kg and can accommodate a maximum of 2 people. Once again, operators benefit from the exceptionally wide operating range of 9 metres. The working platform is guided in parallel. In the event that the diesel engine should fail, emergency lowering can be controlled directly from the cage. The working cage is also optionally available with a protective canopy. The TSL 853 T7 is used in virtually all kinds of mines around the world – ore, copper, zine or silver.
