The specialist for meadow chopping is being renewed; the new FML chopper from Kverneland

Kverneland is introducing the new FML chopper. It is a light chopper suitable for meadow maintenance, grassland renewal and cleaning of the field edges. The FML is light and versatile, but at the same time very efficient due to its high performance rotor. It is very easy and simple to operate and maintenance operations are very limited. The FML is for use with the small tractor power range (up to 50hp) but offers up to 1.80m working width because power requirement is very limited. Chopping performance is similar to that of higher range implements.

The new Kverneland FML has a compact frame with low and round profiles. The mechanical off-setting allows coupling of the chopper in the centre or towards the right hand side of the tractor width. The headstock has been designed to absorb stress given by chopping units and so it has a familiar look which characterises the range of Kverneland power harrows and choppers. The three point linkage (CAT I) can be adjusted via a slot hole. In this way the chopper is able to freely oscillate and to perfectly follow the ground contour.

The new Kverneland FML offers excellent performance due to its simple and reliable transmission. The central gearbox (up to 50hp) is standard with an integrated free wheel. Lateral transmission is based on 3 belts tensioned by bolts for simple and immediate checking.

The rotor of the new FML can be equipped with universal or cup blades. It runs at almost 2000rpm and, due to its number of blades (96 on 1.80m), it can ensure excellent cutting performances in all conditions.

The Kverneland FML is offered with lateral skids and self-cleaning rear roller as standard, for a constant control of the working depth. The roller bearings are integrated and protected, with no regular greasing operations needed.

Based on the positive experiences of the FM model, with the development of the new FML, Kverneland has concentrated on excellent performance and high reliability (focus on gravity centre point, new headstock, roller position).
