With an exhibition area of over 5,300 square meters in the open-air site, the Wacker Neuson and Kramer brands presented to an interested expert audience from around the world at this year's bauma. The focus was clearly on innovative solutions, which not only meet the growing customer requirements with respect to economic efficiency, performance, environment and operator protection, but also exceed them. Interactive demo shows in an area of over 900 square meters as well as eight action areas supplemented the exhibition and made it possible for visitors to experience the products. "bauma is and remains an important forum to present our power of innovation and our broad range of services to a crowd of experts. We are overwhelmed by the constant large crowds and the high level of interest of European and international visitors to our trade fair stand," says Cem Peksaglam, CEO of the Wacker Neuson Group. Most visitors to the stand of the Wacker Neuson Group this year came from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France. In total, the company was able to welcome more than 15 percent more guests than in 2013. "We are very satisfied with the results of the trade fair. The visitors were very interested throughout the entire week. We were able to have high-quality discussions and we exceeded our expectations with the number of orders that we were able to conclude during the trade fair and now in the aftermath," Cem Peksaglam continues.

Wacker Neuson – All it takes

In addition to a cross-section of the product and services rendered range, Wacker Neuson also exhibited numerous innovations. The focus was on emission-free drives for various products, such as the battery-powered rammer, the electric track dumper and electric wheel loader as well as the mini-excavator with dual power (optionally diesel or electric drive). All products have one thing in common: They can work ideally in enclosed, poorly ventilated spaces or in the inner-city sector without being inferior to conventional machines in terms of performance. BG Bau rewarded this advantage as part of bauma with the EuroTest award for both battery-powered rammers AS50e and AS30e. In addition, BG Bau is promoting the battery-powered rammers with an attractive occupational safety award for the buyer.

To make the brand even more visible on construction sites in the future, Wacker Neuson introduced a new product branding at the trade fair. The eye-catching Wacker Neuson symbol will be the dominant trademark on the products in future, which could already be seen on numerous machines at Bauma.

Further highlights were the Vertical Digging System (VDS for short) for excavators, with which the operator can compensate for uneven surfaces of up to 15° at the push of a button from the cabin and thus can work much more efficiently and more comfortably, just as the dual view concept of a 5-ton wheel dumper that was presented for the first time, which the operator can use to rotate the entire driver's cabin by 180° and thus (especially with a fully loaded bucket) always enjoy an unobstructed view to the front.

Within the range of compaction, Wacker Neuson presented several innovations: the rammer product range has the lowest total emissions on the market and can therefore score particularly well in poorly ventilated environments, such as in trench applications. Wacker Neuson also introduced a new series of heavy plates that can optionally be ordered with a center pole or a remote control and that are above all characterized by uncompromising functionality and performance. Wacker Neuson therefore offers the broadest range of plates on the market, of which most walk-behind models have such low hand-arm vibrations that the documentation duty is no longer required of the contractor.

Within the range of concrete compaction, Wacker Neuson also presented its broad product range of internal vibrators of the Basic, Economy and Premium line. The modular internal vibrator IRFUflex from the Premium line was introduced just in time for Bauma. This consists of a universal converter that can be combined with different protective hose and vibrator head versions. This makes it particularly economical and therefore of interest especially for rental yards and contractors with frequently changing applications.

Furthermore, Wacker Neuson could score with its broad offering of services rendered, which ranges from individual financing solutions to maintenance and repair to rental and used machines. The quick availability of original spare parts, accessories and attachments increases the flexibility of the customers. The company therefore acts as a solution provider and reliable partner for customers from around the world. The Wacker Neuson e-store will act as a supplementary information and sales instrument in the future. In this way, the company can meet customer requirements in a more targeted manner and at the same time take into consideration the growing importance of Internet research. Via the Wacker Neuson e-store, customers can very conveniently find information on products, spare parts, accessories and services rendered as well as place purchase orders at any time. Currently, the e-store is available in Germany, the UK and France and will be successively rolled out in other countries.

Kramer – on the safe side

Kramer presented its extensive loader range at Bauma and above all was able to create a stir with the award of the new electric wheel loader with the Bauma innovation award in the Machines category. "We are especially proud to have presented the most innovative product at the entire trade fair," says Cem Peksaglam. "The Kramer electric wheel loader was given the Bauma innovation award, chosen from hundreds of submitted products." The e-loader is the first all-wheel driven wheel loader with an electric drive. Thanks to the high battery capacity, the e-loader can be used for up to 5 hours and generates comparably significantly lower operating and service costs than the diesel version. "With Kramer, you are on the safe side – this is what our brand claim expresses. The many years of experience in the constant continued development of loaders and focusing on these products offers our customers maximum investment security," explains Cem Peksaglam. Additional innovations were the telehandlers with six and more meters stacking height with the latest engine technology as well as a new telescopic wheel loader model in the compact segment.

"bauma 2016 was a complete success for the Wacker Neuson Group and the very positive mood makes us optimistic about future business."
