The renaming is a further step in the growth and internationalisation strategy that the company is consistently implementing. The multiple materials specialist has seen double digit growth jumps for years. In 2013 two new production sites were launched in Germany. And the company is currently preparing to launch two new locations: Germersheim (Rhineland-Palatinate/ Germany) and Puebla (Mexico).
Managing Director Hans-Joachim Hirsch: The constant growth and increasing internationalisation of our business gives us massive challenges and requires a reorganisation and the further development of our company. The aim of this change process is to make us fit for the future in order to continue to fulfil our customers' requirements with the highest level of flexibility and to grow alongside them. As a visible sign of our successful growth and internationalisation strategy we will in future appear globally under the name Thimm Packaging Systems."
At the same time the company is preparing to start production in two new locations. "In both sites, Germersheim and Puebla, we will mainly produce containers and packaging systems for the automotive industry," explains Hirsch. In Germersheim we will start with an area of 34,000 square metres; in Puebla 6,000 square metres. Both locations offer adequate space for further expansion." The preparatory work for starting production will be completed in the beginning of 2016.
The HR recruitment process is running at full speed. Hirsch: "We already have orders from our customers. As soon as we have trained the employees we will start to assemble the packaging solutions in a preliminary step."
