Maryvonne Lanoë, INTERMAT Exhibition Director, said: “We would like to thank the Ministry of Public Works (MoPW), the Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA), all the exhibitors as well as the attendees for their continued collaboration to make the third edition of INTERMAT Middle East.”

Significant investments in construction and infrastructure projects are being made continually in the region and INTERMAT Middle East aims to help its visitors and partners capitalise on these investments being made.

Featuring national pavilions consisting of key leading exhibitors from France, United Kingdom, Italy, Korea, the Netherlands, and more.

Andrea Bonomi, Export Area Manager, CARMIX – METALGALANTE SPA, said: “Our participation at INTERMAT Middle East 2014 has been successful and fruitful. Even though the size of the exhibition is not huge, we are extremely satisfied, especially with the quality of the people that attended this exhibition. It is important for us to participate in this exhibition to get contacts and build relationships with people that have job sites and need new solutions for their proposals and we have made great potential contacts. The exhibition and building was well organised and the people involved are very dedicated. I believe that we will attend again and keep going on this policy of facing and finding highly qualified people in the construction industry.”

Clarence Jacobson, Director, Products & Marketing, ORYX SIMULATIONS AB, said: “We are a Swedish company and decided to come here because it is a very interesting market – the UAE market and the entire Middle East market. What we have seen is that, even though the number of visitors has been small, we have had a number of quality leads to build relationships on. This exhibition is more about quality than quantity.”

He further added: “Typically in our business it is not about quick wins, but more about business development process. We have identified and started initiating conversations with some potential corporations, however, it will require some work to pursue and finalise those outcomes.”

The MoPW and the DMA both showed their support for the third edition of INTERMAT Middle East. His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works, UAE inaugurated the show and led the tour while senior level representatives from DMA actively participated in the workshops held in conjunction with the exhibition.
