TIER 4 UPDATE FOR POPULAR ROUGH TERRAIN FORK LIFT RANGE

JCB is launching its improved rough terrain fork lift (RTFL) range at Conexpo 2014 complete with the new Tier 4 JCB Ecomax diesel engine. The highly efficient four cylinder engine delivers the same 74hp (55kW)  output as the previous Dieselmax motor, but meets the Tier 4 emissions regulations without the need for any aftertreatment, including diesel particulate filters or an SCR exhaust after-treatment systems, reducing cost and complexity for customers. The Ecomax engine will be fitted to all three models in JCB’s RTFL range: the 930, 940 and 950.

Efficient drivetrain

The JCB Ecomax engine features a highly efficient combustion design that not only reduces exhaust emissions, but also delivers improved fuel consumption, reducing running costs for operators. With ultra-high fuel injection pressures, fixed geometry turbocharging and cooled exhaust gas recirculation, the JCB Ecomax engine meets Tier 4 emissions standards with no requirement for a costly DPF or for complex after-treatment.

The JCB Ecomax engine runs on standard lubricating oils, so there is no requirement for expensive oils. Service intervals remain at 500 hours, apart from an additional crankcase ventilation filter that requires a change at 1,500 hours.

Available with a four-speed Synchro Shuttle transmission for maximum durability and ease of use, the revised machines feature increased hydraulic flow, now 20 gpm, for faster lift-and-lower cycle times, increased productivity and reduced fuel consumption.

The  930, 940 and 950 models have lifting capacities of   6,000 lbs - 10,000 lbs. with mast lift heights of  15 ft- 22ft. All machines benefit from JCB’s latest corporate styling, with clear graphics and a striking appearance. There are new front and rear cab mounted working lights available and the machines can be ordered with a canopy or a fully glazed cab, with the option of a newly redesigned integrated air conditioning, improving the driving environment for the operator.

The machine can be supplied with JCB’s Livelink telematics monitoring system for maximum fleet visibility and maintenance control. Also available is a key or keypad immobilizer option for added theft protection

The JCB RTFL range continues to offer contractors and rental customers a reliable, versatile lifting and material handling solution. The machines are designed to perform in any re-handling environment, delivering ease of use and high productivity.
