Topcon eGIS for Android a great hit at Geospatial World Forum 2014 in Geneva

CAPELLE A/D IJSSEL, The Netherlands – 20th May 2014 – Topcon Europe Positioning (TEP) successfully showed its eGIS for Android Mobile GIS software at this year’s Geospatial World Forum event, held earlier this month in Geneva, Switzerland. The market trend towards Apps within the Geospatial and Mapping Environment was shared within the audience from throughout the world.

Topcon once again set the standard to be one of the first companies to introduce an entire Mobile GIS engine for tablets and smartphones on the Android platform. The seamless connectivity to existing database structures and clients existing IT solutions was well received. Data management and transfer capabilities by using eWebSync as one of Topcon's secured cloud-based solutions is bringing a user-friendly and highly secured solution for governmental organisations as well as private clients handling sensitive data.

Topcon furthermore provides it’s eGPS solution for Android that allows customers to make full use of the advanced functionality of high accurate instruments from Topcon, using end user third party software. Customers and users therefore have the unique ability to use their own familiar software solutions in conjunction with Topcon's advanced GNSS receviers and the same intuitive interface introduced by Topcon during 2013.

With the availability of eGIS for Android as well as eGPS for Android, Topcon once again stretches its progressive direction to widen the market spectrum and to support their customers with state of the art features and solutions.
