Topcon’s general construction lasers increase efficiency on site

Topcon, the global positioning partner for geo-businesses, has announced new features to two of its flagship lasers, the RL-H4C and RL-SV2S, which will increase laser safety, efficiency and reliability.

Both the RL-H4C and the RL-SV2S have been updated with a new Class 2 laser. These eliminate any threat of potential eye injury from accidental exposure to laser light as they operate at a lower power without any reduction in performance.

The new laser class also removes the need for a laser safety officer on site, meaning that the lasers can now be used by any trained or untrained worker. Dave Bennett, business manager at Topcon, explained: “Topcon products are built for tough conditions on site and are designed to be easy to use for busy construction professionals.

“As the lasers no longer require a trained safety officer on site, they have real time and cost savings for our customers.”

The RL-H4C and RL-SV2S are both suitable for a wide range of tasks. With their tough IP66 weatherproof ratings, the two dual grade lasers are built to work in all conditions and can withstand dust and moisture. Topcon has also introduced a new UK charger for the lasers which does not require an adapter and features a smart system to eliminate charging down-time.

Topcon has also announced that it will be continuing its five year warranty promise across the laser product range to all its customers.
