From the airport
Airport shuttle
The airport shuttle bus runs non-stop from Munich’s international airport (stops at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) to the Messe München exhibition center (North Entrance). Tickets costs EUR 8 (one way) or EUR 13.50 (return). During the trade show shuttle buses depart every 30 minutes.
S-Bahn urban railway
Take the S-Bahn, line 1 (S1), to "Feldmoching" and change there to the U2 underground line in the direction of "Messestadt".
By public transport
Underground (U-Bahn) and urban railway (S-Bahn): the lines that go to the exhibition center
The U2 underground line takes you from Munich Central Station direct to bauma in less than 20 minutes. At peak times, on all days of the fair, the U2 runs every three minutes to the stations "Messestadt West" and "Messestadt Ost".
You can also travel to bauma on the local urban railway (S-Bahn). Take the S2 line to "Riem" station. From there the Entrance West of the exhibition center is a 15-minute walk away. Just follow the signs. Alternatively you can take the S4 line to "Trudering" and change there onto the U2 underground line to get to bauma.
By car
Park & Ride: no traffic jams and no parking fees at the exhibition center
Park & Ride saves you a lot of hassle on the roads and the cost of parking at the venue itself – so be sure to make use of these decentralized parking spaces. Parking there is free of charge and you can travel on to the exhibition center for free on the shuttle buses or on public transport (in the case of the BMW multi-story car park). From the A94, A9 and A99 autobahns, the following decentralized parking lots are signposted:
Parking on all days of the fair:
Parking in Feldkirchen
Just ten minutes bus ride away from bauma, and right by the A94 autobahn in Feldkirchen, are 2,200 parking spaces. Parking here is free of charge and a free shuttle bus takes you from here straight to the show.
Parking in Aschheim
Also only ten minutes away by bus from bauma is the parking lot in Aschheim, right by the A99 autobahn, with space for 2,500 vehicles. There, too, parking is free, and there is a shuttle bus service straight to the exhibition center.
Additional parking on April 20 and 21, 2013
ONLY Saturday, April 20, 2013 - Allianz Arena car park
On Saturday, traditionally a very busy day at bauma, the Allianz Arena is opening its car park with 3,000 spaces. A free shuttle bus operates from here direct to the exhibition.
ONLY Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21, 2013 – BMW Parkhaus FIZ am Hart, Knorrstr. 147
For visitors coming to Munich on the A8 autobahn (Stuttgart-Munich), this car park with approx. 2,000 spaces is ideal. The U2 underground station "Am Hart" is right by this car park. Traveling time to Messe München from here on the underground is about 30 minutes.
Parking at the exhibition center
The route to bauma 2013 by car is signposted from all the main approach roads to Munich. A modern traffic-routing system shows you the best way to get to the various parking lots at Messe München. The exhibition center is well located as regards transport infrastructure and visitors have fast, easy access to all the main roads.
To get to the fair:
• A 94 – Exit 4, Am Moosfeld
• A 94 – Exit 5, München-Riem
• A 94 – Exit 6, Feldkirchen-West
• A 99 – Exit 15, Kirchheim, then continue on road no. 2082
Please follow the instructions on the traffic routing signs, not your navigation system.
General point: There is a charge for parking close to the exhibition center. Parking is not allowed outside the spaces officially designated as bauma parking spaces. The police carry out checks.
