Nigel continued : “ Plant machinery specification has advanced significantly over the last ten
years and the improved operator comfort and safety features are all positive advantages for
the end user plus the increased versatility. Manitou is an excellent example of this principle of
product development, we have over thirty years experience of Manitou, we recognised the
need for rough terrain forklifts on building sites in the early days and have evolved our
Manitou telehandler fleet to higher lift heights and more compact models. The current market
trend is based on tight cost control, with customers hiring lower lift height machines at the
earlier build stage and the higher lift height models for the latter stages involving three storey
developments and above”.
Our choice of Manitou is also a commercial decision, Manitou is a major global player and this
reflects in the residual value of the machines. The strength of build of the Manitou product
ensures they last longer and are more reliable.”
With the ever changing business landscape, it is reassuring to witness a company that has
stayed true to its mission to deliver quality products and service, lets leave the last word to
Nigel.
“ We look forward to a good working partnership with Manitou and BTE Plant Sales to drive our
business further forward”.
