UK DEBUT FOR NEW SNORKEL BOOM AT VERTIKAL DAYS 2012

Snorkel’s new A62JRT articulated boom lift will make its UK debut at Vertikal Days 2012.

The A62JRT is a self-propelled articulated boom, providing a maximum platform height of 19m (62ft) and will go into production later this year. It replaces the Snorkel AB60JRT, offering significantly improved drive and lift capabilities - particularly ‘up-and-over’ clearance - and a 100% reduction in tail swing compared to the older model.

Designed for rough terrain applications, the A62JRT shares a common chassis with Snorkel’s 46ft and 66ft telescopic booms, helping to simplify service and repair work. Areas where this lift excels include maximum platform height at 18.8m (61ft 8ins) and up-and-over clearance at 9m (29ft 6ins). It also has the largest platform cage in its class of 2.4m x 1.0m (96ins X 39ins) and the most compact length when stowed for transport, of 8.5m (27ft 10ins).

Furthermore, the Snorkel A62JRT has the best inside turning radius of any two-wheel-steer machine in its class. The interactive oscillating front axle, with hydrostatic 4WD keeps all four tyres in contact with the ground, for excellent rough terrain drive performance – and works whether the machine is stowed or elevated.

Along with the new lift, Snorkel is exhibiting aerial lifts representative of its extensive range, including the M1230E 3.6m (12ft) platform height self-propelled mast lift; S1932E low-cost 7.6m (19ft) electric scissor lift; S27770BE 8.3m (27ft) compact bi-energy scissor; SL26SL Speed Level 8m (26ft) large deck, no stabiliser rough terrain lift; the class-leading A38E 11.5m (38ft) all-electric articulating boom; and the TL37J 11.2m (37ft) trailer-mounted boom with jib.

Also on the Snorkel stand will be the award-winning Pop-Up range of low-level access products.

Vertikal Days takes place at Haydock Park race course on Wednesday and Thursday, June 27th-28th. Visit Snorkel and Pop-Up at stand 109, opposite the IPAF stand.
