USETEC 2015 – Broad support from the key partners in the market – Under the patronage of Minister Nils Schmid

The return of USETEC supported by resale to its traditional home in Karlsruhe has received widespread approval from the most important players in the market – including associations and commercial exhibitors. Dr. Nils Schmid, Deputy Minister-President and Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs in Baden-Württemberg has accepted the role of patron. This further underlines USETEC's importance to the region.

USETEC is supported by all the leading associations in the sector including the FDM, Trade Association for Machine Tools + Tooling in Bonn. As technical sponsor, this organisation has played a significant role in shaping and developing the USETEC concept. In early November, a new agreement was reached with the EAMTM, European Association of Machine Tool Merchants in Brussels, which aims to strengthen the partnership with USETEC still further. The EAMTM will be integrated more closely into the event's communications and more of its members will exhibit at individual stands. Some national branches of the association will also be represented at joint stands. Further important partners of USETEC are the Italian Association of Used Machine Tools (AIMUU), Federation of the German Export Trade (BDEx) in Berlin, the Dutch Used Machinery Association (DUMA), German Trade and Invest (gtai) and the Association LandBauTechnik Bundesverband from Essen. The organisers also correspond regularly with a large number of international projects run by the German Association for International Cooperation (GIZ), primarily in developing and industrialising countries, which are of particular interest to the second-hand market.

The leading trade fair for the used market is also a unique opportunity for exhibitors worldwide. No other trade fair that revolves exclusively around used machinery and equipment offers remotely the same spectrum of products that are available at USETEC. Many suppliers from the following sectors have already registered for the event: metalworking machinery, robotics, measurement and testing equipment, lifting appliances and conveyors, construction machinery, packaging machinery and food processing machines, power plant equipment, woodworking machinery, plastics processing machinery, municipal vehicles, equipment for waste disposal and recycling, process technology, agricultural machines, IT and telecommunication equipment, printing machinery and textile machines. There are also many exhibitors offering services for every aspect of the used machinery business as well as the correct spare parts and accessories, tools and moulds. So far, the leading countries by number of exhibitors are Germany, the Netherlands and France. These are followed in alphabetical order by Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Norway, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the USA. "As well as specialist dealers, service providers and manufacturers play key roles at USETEC," explains Florian Hess, Managing Director of Hess GmbH in Weingarten/Baden. "The mood in the market is currently good to very good across the board. Sales opportunities – despite perceived risks in some important export regions – continue to be seen as stable."

Visitor advertising for USETEC 2015 is now entering the critical phase. Printed forms and advertising materials in 11 languages are being dispatched to over 160 countries. The organisers are expecting a large number of buyer delegations to attend USETEC 2015 in Karlsruhe. These include groups from India, which has traditionally strong links with the Karlsruhe region and will be the official Partner Country of Hannover Messe next year. Delegations from Africa and the Middle East are also planning to visit USETEC. The organisers themselves, together with their most important partners, will be participating at MACTECH in Egypt, which ranked fourth in the visitor statistics at USETEC 2014.

USETEC supported by RESALE is the world's largest trade fair for used technology. The range of goods on offer includes used machinery and equipment for every sector of industry and commerce. USETEC 2015 will take place from Monday, 13 to Wednesday, 15 April 2015 in Halls 1 and 2 and the outdoor area at Messe Karlsruhe.
