Väderstad wins silver medal

DLG is announcing Väderstad as a winner of a silver medal for the innovation Automatic Machine Adjustment, an example of this new technology is Automatic CrossBoard. The silver medal will be awarded at Agritechnica 2015.

“I’m really excited about receiving this prestigious prize, especially since I believe this technology will benefit many farmers all over Europe. This is very much a result of our vision to simplify the operation of our machinery and improve operator comfort but at the same time improve the working results. For example do we believe that Automatic CrossBoard leads to a more leveled field with reduced fuel consumption and power requirement,” says Crister Stark Chairman of the Board at Väderstad.

Optimum leveling

An example of Automatic Machine Adjustment is Automatic CrossBoard, an elegant solution to provide the leveling board with a small skid that constantly measures the height of the earth wall. The skid has a gyroscope that senses the CrossBoard angle. The data received from the gyroscope is used to maintain the perfect angle of the CrossBoard.

The Automatic CrossBoard can be optimized so that the field is ensured optimum smoothness in relation to fuel consumption regardless of the soil condition.

Available autumn 2016

The new technology is under development and will be available firstly for Automatic CrossBoard, controlled by E-Control, which is Väderstad’s own control system.
