VISIT FROM CHINA

At the end of November Silvatec has hosted a Chinese delegation consisting of government officials from the forestry sector in China at the company location in Farsoe.

The overall purpose of visiting Denmark was to learn about forest management in Denmark, including the usage of the forest for public pleasure. 

Among other companies has delegation chosen to visit Silvatec to get knowledge about the development and usage of modern forestry machinery in forestry management.

During the visit they were told the story about development of Silvatec as company and about Silvatec`s co-operation with “Hede Danmark” and “Naturstyrelsen” the largest forest management companies in Denmark. They were quite surprised about such co-operation, but as one of our guests replied “it is in fact only natural that the users of the machines are involved in the development of the machines”.

Besides the given information, Silvatec also demonstrated the usage of our machines.

For Silvatec it was interesting to hear about the challenges the Chinese forest management are facing. The concern for environmental friendly usage of the forest in China is getting bigger and our gests spent quit a bit of time asking about fuel consumption and the foot print the Silvatec machines leaves in the forest.

All in all an interesting meeting where point of views were shared about the usage of machines and at the same time taking care of the forest.
