Visitors come from far and wide to Claydon open days

Presentations centered around Claydon optimum till for optimum crop establishment and the importance of effective stubble management.  Crop tours showed how even in this time of drought, Claydon drilled crops are able to cope much better with weather extremes, tapping into the moisture available in the banks of unmoved soil.  On demo were the 6m Hybrid mounted drill and TerraStar. A soil trench showed how Claydon drilling encourages deep rooting and alleviates compaction.  There were even a few worms to be found in the pit even though the sun and drying wind had sent most of them into hiding.

It was great to catch up with existing customers and talk to agronomists, dealers and those new to Claydon. Thanks to all those who attended – including a minibus of farmers from Yorkshire, hosted by J Wood and Son, and visitors from Belgium, Sweden and France.

We’ve had some great feedback and positive comments from visitors so far.  We also have an online questionnaire.  If you attended one of the sessions we would be grateful if you would take a couple of minutes to fill out our feedback survey to help us improve for the next one. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
