Volvo CE signs integration agreement with Topcon

Volvo CE and Topcon are pleased to announce an integration agreement focused on establishing a Topcon 3D machine control (3D-MC) technology solution that seamlessly integrates with Volvo Dig Assist (machine control 2D) on Volvo excavators and with Topcon workflow solutions for design and as-built data.

The Topcon 3D-MC solution integration on the Volvo excavator will complement the Volvo Dig Assist capability, to include the use of 3D design files and the connection with Topcon workflow solution platforms.

Many Volvo customers already have a preferred supplier for surveying and 3D machine control technology on their sites. As a result, Volvo CE has decided to allow the integration of the major 3D machine control suppliers with the Volvo machine control 2D solution called Dig Assist. This way our customers can choose the machine control 3D technology that they prefer.
