Premiere at Bauma China: Bauer presents innovative grab and cutter technology

Ever since the first Bauma China, the fair that is held in Shanghai in late autumn has been an important date in the calendar of the BAUER Maschinen Group. This year, the Bavarian company is again represented with two booths and presents the latest developments in equipment, as well as proven technology in the field of specialist foundation engineering, on 600 m2 of floor space. On the first day of the fair, visitors to the Bauer booth were able to experience two world premieres up close: The GB 80 S hydraulic grab system and the BCS 40 cutter system are two new specialist foundation systems that Bauer presents at the show. Read more >>

LAFORGE awarded a Gold Medal SIMA 2019

For its universal DynaTrac® guidance system for precision farming
At times when precision farming becomes an opportunity for farmers to increase yields, improve profitability and reduce inputs (fertilizers, seeds, chemical products, tillage), LAFORGE innovates and creates a universal guidance interface.
The DynaTrac® interface is positioned on the tractor rear hitch. It slides laterally, controlled by the guidance system (GPS or camera) to ensure a rear implement positioning with an accuracy close to one inch. It allows decoupling of the implement’s motion from the tractor’s one. This eliminates constrains on the implement which eases its positioning and improves tracking of tractor’s trajectory. New feeding robot with a battery

This is our new feeding robot - the Triomatic WB 2 250 with battery drive. The Triomatic WB 2 250 travels in the stable and across the yard without rails. It follows an induction loop or transponders in the ground.
The new robot is added to the existing Triomatic robot range. The current models are the Hanging Triomatic HP and the Wheeled Triomatic WP on the power rail. The new Triomatic WB (Wheeled Battery) doesn't need a power rail, either in the stable nor outside. The robot works with a 600 volt Nickel battery. Nickel batteries have a lot of capacity, a long service life and do not require a long charging cycle. The robot does not have to stand still while charging. When the robot is docked on the power rail, all functions (driving, mixing, etc.) are performed directly via mains voltage, since all drive motors are three-phase motors. No time and battery energy wasted. This gives the Triomatic WB robot more capacity than comparable DC systems, and it extends the battery life considerably. Read more >>

Live NBalance tool developed by John Deere and Airbus

John Deere’s latest research and development work in association with Airbus has been rewarded with a second silver medal at the SIMA 2019 show, to be held in Paris from 24 to 28 February 2019.
With the Live NBalance tool, Airbus and John Deere are able to offer for the first time live monitoring of nitrogen balance in the field. This joint project is based on a combination of satellite images and machinery data, which continuously observe nitrogen uptake by the crop in each part of the field. During the growing season, the service allows the farmer to make more informed decisions on subsequent fertiliser applications. After harvest, it summarises the total N applied and removed, ready to use for regulation purposes. Read more >>
