Case IH Previews New Optum Series Tractors with More Power and Flexible Application Solutions

CASE IH has introduced its new Optum series tractors, which are available in three models offering 360, 390, and 440 horsepower. These tractors integrate advanced precision technology such as Connectivity Included and ISOBUS compatibility, along with features like FieldOps™ for agronomic data management. Key technical specifications include a Cursor 9 engine, a 6.1-meter turning radius, 60 kph transport speed, and a Central Tire Inflation System. The upgraded cab enhances operator comfort with features like independent front axle suspension and integrated storage. The tractors also support versatile farm tasks through improved PTO and new transmission options. HillControl: Greater precision when spreading fertiliser on slopes, hilltops and in hollows

RAUCH has introduced HillControl, a system designed to enhance the precision of fertiliser distribution on slopes and uneven terrain using AXIS twin-disc spreaders. HillControl employs algorithms and tilt sensors to automatically adjust the spreading discs for optimal lateral distribution, even when the machine's angle changes. This integration with SpeedServo actuators ensures efficient operation without requiring additional effort from users. HillControl improves fertiliser use efficiency by up to 3%, thus optimizing plant nutrition and preventing overfertilisation. This marks a significant advancement in fertiliser distribution technology, taking field topology and elevation into account for the first time to ensure consistent nutrient application on complex terrains like hills and hollows. Doka supports major dam raise in Austrian Alps

Doka is integral to the nine-meter elevation of the Wasserfallboden Dam in Kaprun, Austria, enabling the construction of the new Limberg III pumped-storage power plant, set to provide 480 MW of additional renewable capacity to Europe by 2027. This project, led by VERBUND and supported by Doka's high-altitude formwork and scaffolding solutions, faces extreme alpine conditions, including sub-zero temperatures and high winds. The expansion, which involves modern technologies like 3D planning and optimized logistics, is critical for energy stability, increasing the reservoir's capacity by 30 GWh—enough to power around 6,000 households.
