MAN Engines has announced the modernization of its E32 gas engine series to enhance performance for natural gas and biogas applications. The updated E3262 engine, built on the robust V12 platform, features improved turbochargers for greater efficiency, particularly at a NOx limit of 250 mg/Nm³, adhering to international emission standards. The enhancements include dry turbine housings and new bronze-alloy bearings for better durability. The engines, which have over 10,000 installations worldwide since 2012, are designed for global markets and support 50 Hz and 60 Hz frequencies. New variants, the LE272 and LE282, are set for release by mid-2026, coexisting with existing models during transition.
