How and when does a tiltrotator work?

The excavator’s flexible wrist

The tiltrotator is connected directly to the excavator’s arm or to the excavator’s quick hitch.

Tools or buckets are then easily connected under the tiltrotator. The tiltrotator then works as the excavator’s flexible wrist and allows the operator to reach even difficult positions without moving the machine. The operator easily switches tools without leaving his or her place in the cab.
