Operator Assistance System
The new operator assistance system for the Komatsu WA475-11 and WA485-11 wheel loaders combines all assistance functions in a particularly clear central monitor. The modern touchscreen interface enables simple and intuitive operation and creates an interface between man and machine. The integrated driver assistance system offers the driver comprehensive support in daily use. It combines several powerful functions, including the Extended LoadPilot weighing system, the adaptive Efficiency Trainer and a high-resolution rearview camera system. The system can be optionally expanded with an surround view camera system and a tire pressure monitoring system, which contributes to operational safety and reduces wear. The intelligent combination of these components ensures greater transparency, safety, and efficiency – and helps the driver to exploit the full potential of their machine.

Rear Object Detection System (RODS) with autobrake
The system uses dual sensor radar mounted on the rear of the machine to detect objects whilst in the direction of reverse travel. If there is a risk of collision, a warning buzzer and indicator light will alert the operator. If the possibility of collision with an obstacle increases, the system is linked to the machine and automatically applies the brakes. To reduce false detections, the system logic considers steering angle, travel speed, and rake up conditions – enhancing site safety without compromising productivity. Additionally, the system includes a rollover warning feature that alerts the operator to the risk of machine rollover.

Adaptive work lamps
Our customers told us that shift working often means operating late into the night in many different ambient conditions. All of which ultimately demand a different visibility solution to ensure safety, comfort, and maximum productivity. With the optional adaptive work lamps the machine can easily adapt the lighting setup by adjustment of brightness, colour temperature, and active dimming of the front lights to the specific jobsite conditions, glare, over or under lighting, blind operation, and reflections can be completely eliminated. Adjustable via smartphone, or remote control, any driver can quickly and easily customise the machine to the working conditions.
