With its new TADANO truck crane HK 65, Metallbau Nottrott has expanded its scope of applications within a higher category of lifting capacity.

Convinced of the extremely high performance of TADANO technology, the metal construction specialist Nottrott decided to move up to the next-higher class. The new HK 65 was deployed immediately after its delivery.

Together with his team, Maik Nottrott, Managing Director of the metal construction company bearing his name, has been relying on the great performance of TADANO truck cranes since 2008. Good performance ratings and trouble-free operation featured by the previous HK 60 were fundamental for the decision to increase capacity by acquiring an HK 65. Thus, the new crane was delivered in Lauf / Pegnitz on 27 November 2014 on a Scania chassis frame. Maik Nottrott and his crane operator Manfred Otto were both on site to pick up the new TADANO crane with a higher lifting capacity.

Just one week after delivery, the HK 65 lifted steel for the new factory of an industrial bakery in Eisleben, the city that boasts a number of Luther memorials. There, Nottrott had to integrate a total of 600 tons of steel in a building with the help of the HK 65, which demonstrated its enormous power and flexibility. Thus, Maik Nottrott considers the modern TADANO technology to be even better suited for quick operations all over Germany, which is what the the truck crane has been envisaged for.

According to Maik Nottrott, one of the technical assets of the HK 65 is also its user-friendliness. Since its first deployment, Manfred Otto, crane operator, is convinced of the reliability and clear arrangement of the equipment in the crane cab. Moreover, Otto also appreciates the uncomplicated and reliable contact with TADANO in case he needs advice. However, he has never experienced a crane breakdown. Maik Nottrott comments on this: "Within six years, we did not have a single problem with the predecessor of the HK 65. Given the further development of technology, we are sure that we can also expect this high degree of reliability in the future."
