"From September onwards everyone will be on the safe side," said the Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein, Daniel Günther. "That is also the point in time when capacity limits can also be eliminated - indoors and outdoors.”

Which corona security measures still have to be observed?

Despite falling incidence values, we must continue to exercise responsible caution. Vaccinated and convalescent (with proof) do not need a current negative test. We will offer test facilities in front of the exhibition grounds for all those who have not yet been vaccinated or recovered and who will have otherwise an authorized test done. Masks will then no longer be necessary in the outdoor area. There will no longer be visitor restrictions or area and person restrictions for exhibitors, announced the Prime Minister for NordBau. So that visitors, exhibitors and trade fair staff can feel safe, we have also provided tracking for the health department with the LucaApp. This app is very easy to download and it takes just minutes. The possibility of tracking by the Neumünster Health Department, which uses the LucaApp, is necessary for those who have not yet been vaccinated or have recovered.

How do the exhibitors react with regard to the possibility of participating in the 66th Nordbau again?

Together with the state government, we offer our exhibitors the opportunity to meet their customers at a construction trade fair and maintain business relationships. The outdoor area with the construction machinery, construction equipment, commercial vehicles and municipal technology is still fully booked. The booking situation is even more cautious regarding the exhibitors in the halls with building materials, construction elements, tiles and tools. In addition to trade visitors, such as craftsmen, architects and planners, the offer is aimed equally at public and private builders. Let's see how the next few weeks develop and one or the other exhibitor assesses the situation again with regard to the pandemic in such a way that direct customer contact can be made possible.

Which topics are in the foreground this year?

This year's special topic "A second life for building materials - recycling in civil engineering" deals with the responsible handling of increasingly scarce raw materials in the construction industry, high transport costs and growing issues with hazardous waste. For building construction with the building materials and components as well as for civil engineering with machines and devices, recycling will play an increasingly important role in the future. This aspect of new construction or renovation is also becoming more and more relevant for many builders, whether private or public; also from the point of view of the currently high building material prices. A construction trade fair simply offers the ideal overview in direct discussions with manufacturers and service providers so as not to fall into cost traps.
