The implications of Climate Change are clear when the UK’s soils are under water and also when “ponding” can be seen, on the surface of the soil.
The world’s farmers have much more to worry about, and think about, when Soil-Health is perceived as being critical to the growth of food-volume.
Now that farmers have to double food-volume by 2050, there are many of the world’s farmers that have to be increasing their crop performance by using LIGHTER & FASTER tractors & lighter and faster agricultural implements.
Currently, 32-million ploughing tractors are used every day across the world. All of them are HEAVY, because the task of deep-ploughing has been adopted, for generations.
It is now considered, by FAO, ECAF, ISTRO, ACT (in Africa) and the No-Till farmers clubs, that the widespread use of ploughing is degrading to the “precious soil of the world”.
Farm tractors are all designed PRIMARILY FOR PLOUGHING, WHICH IS WHY THEY ARE HEAVY AND SLOW.
The futuristic work of the lightweight & higher speeds that the TRANTOR tractor accomplishes is evidence of wide tractor design change.
TRANTOR TRACTORS ARE NOW REQUIRED SO AS TO SPEED UP THE WORK TASKS OF ALL FARMERS, BUT ALSO MINIMIZE SOIL-COMPACTION. REDUCE FUEL-CONSUMPTION & MAXIMISE (INCREASE) CARBON SEQUESTRATION. IT IS THIS THAT EXPLAINS HOW & WHY THE WORLD’S FOOD PRODUCTION CAN BE DOUBLED BY 2050.
There are NOW Trantor tractors in 15 different countries. The Trantor project in UK (a spin off SME company, from Manchester University) has, therefore, created a well-established range of designs from 65 to 180 HP in both 2 & 4WDrive.
The importance of lighter weight and higher speed tractors directs its primary attention to the FUTURE of Soil-Health, and does so in regard to ALL countries in the farming world.
Over 99% of ploughing tractors are heavy and slow & In consequence, they use much more fossilfuel than necessary. In Developing Countries where growing populations are found, increased food volumes are now required and soon!
It is now possible, if we use lighter-weight materials in Agricultural Engineering products, that we can create much LIGHTER Ag-implements, which can now be operated at much higher speeds, with our new range of LIGHTER WEIGHT AND HIGHER SPEED Trantor tractors.
It is essential, to increase the world’s food volume, (doubling by 2050) and the farm work of all kinds, must be conducted, much more quickly and, in particular the spreading, spraying, topping, seeding, mowing, haling and all Haulage tasks.
In consequence, the British innovation that changes the design of farm tractors towards “LIGHTER & FASTER objectives, now makes lots of farm efficiency work much more productive, as Brochure D outlines.
