World premieres IPO.Rack and IPO.Orbit

We assure that you will see the potential to make superproportional savings by using our globally unique planning tools, interactive process visualisations and specialised services in factory and production planning. At the LogiMAT2014 IPO.Plan presents the world premieres IPO.Rack, the 3D shelf planning-tool and IPO.Orbit, the 3D logging-tool.

IPO.Rack enables production planner a quick and precise process of shelf planning, by using data of the shelf manufacturers. As a result shelves can be planned easily and its CAD-layouts will be available within seconds - without knowledge-need of CAD program. Extensive coordination time, where planners make sketches of the shelf and the manufacturer transmits it into CAD-data to make an offer is no longer needed.

IPO.Rack is self-explanatory and easy to use. The planner choses a shelf from the manufacturer’s offerings or constructs a new shelf with customized dimensions. The planner just hast to insert the dimensions of the shelf and the amount of intermediate plates or rollover conveyors. Promptly the 3D-shelf is visible and you are able to see the necessary parts list. Data are ready to order within minutes! Without IPO.Rack this process needs more than 2 weeks.

Shelf-data of manufacturers are part of IPO.Rack. As soon as the planner configures a shelf he gets immediately the corresponding parts list and price. Herewith he gets all information for a quick, precise and efficient planning. IPO.Rack can interface with IPO.Log – the 4D planning- and visualization tool of IPO.Plan.

Manufacturers and planner have been part of the development and they are absolutely delighted. This shelf-configurator closes an existing gap within the planning process. Manufacturers profit from the exact shelf-enquiry which includes the customer wishes. Precise drawing and correct data is immediately available for the production process. IPO.Plan is the first company which offers an intelligent shelf-configurator.

IPO.Orbit is a further world premiere of IPO.Plan. The 3D logging-tool creates colorized 3D object data from tools, production facilities, containers, special load carriers or other components within few minutes. An advantage is that it is far more cost-effective than usual scanning-methods. New sensors enable a quick creation of 3D object data.

The fields of applications are various: Everywhere where CAD data of objects are not available, IPO.Orbit provides quick solution. Engine builders, engineers and production planners get an immediate support. A manufacturer gets for example an order for crank shafts without the necessary CAD-data. He has to measure and estimate the outline of the container and needs to find the correct measurements. This way is time-consuming and inexact. In contrast IPO.Orbit scans the outlines of the container within two minutes and disposes immediately the corresponding 3D objects data.  For tool-drawers IPO.Orbit delivers made-to-measure data for tool keeping spots. With the data of IPO.Orbit cutaways of foam material can be adjusted to the real tool form.

IPO.Orbit is able to scan several items at the same time. The scan surface is about the size of 600x600x100 mm and is available within minutes.  The 3D object data are promptly ready to use. The logging unit moves on a free defined pathway – it is similar to a satellite which circles around the earth. And that is where IPO.Orbit gets its name.

Both tools have an interface to IPO.Log, the state-of-art and efficient planning tool, which can be used after a short learning time. It chains the advantages of CAD, virtual reality and automatic simulation. There are unique opportunities and functions for an intelligent material placement in the area of digital planning. The combinations of the expert tools increase an upper planning standard. Short learning times and many intuitive control concepts (e.g. drag&drop) build the base of efficient and secure production planning.
