As you probably noticed, LECTURA is all about the data and statistics. We also love rankings and that is why we bring you the overview of Top 10 Largest Hydraulic Excavators used in 2019. Let’s have a look together and discover which excavator is the biggest of them all.
Also called tracked excavators, crawler excavators are the core of every heavy machinery fleet in the construction industry. A crawler excavator is suitable for a wide range of jobs such as excavating, landscape digging, mining, civil engineering, pipe jacking or even demolition, making it one of the most important machines on the construction site.
The versatility of crawler excavators can be also improved with hydraulically-powered attachments, typically buckets, pulverizers, breakers, crushers, shears, hammers, grapplers or tiltrotators. Utilizing the tracks, these heavy-duty machines are well-equipped to handle work in a challenging environment, however, the tracks limit their movement speed.
