Yanmar will introduce two of its latest, Stage V-compliant developments at Agritechnica. The first is a small industrial diesel engine of 18.4 kW. Second, is a new Stage V compliant Power Pack engine. Agritechnica is the leading international trade fair for agricultural machinery and is held from 12-18 November 2017 in Hanover, Germany. The engines can be seen on the Yanmar stand D40 in Hall 16.
High power in a compact package - new 18.4 kW diesel engine
Yanmar’s new 18.4 kW 3TNV80FT industrial diesel engine is ideal for agricultural, landscaping and construction machinery in the small industrial market. The specific power output is chosen deliberately as it avoids the need for an expensive after treatment system, which is mandatory for engines above 19 kW for the upcoming Stage V emission standard in Europe. Still, the turbo-charged engine delivers the highest possible performance levels and the best power densities in this segment. Low emission targets have not comprised on fuel efficiency. The engine design is compact, fulfilling market requirements for use on small machines. Furthermore, it comes with quiet and smooth operation, low vibration, long service intervals and easy maintenance.
Stage V compliant Power Pack
Next, Yanmar will show a full-specification 4TNV98C Power Pack. Yanmar is in the process of converting its range to Stage V compliancy with a view to rolling out early next year. The new Power Pack delivers a preview of what advances to expect from the new range as a Stage V compliant package available from one manufacturer that is ready to install.
Also on show
Next to three air-cooled engines, the TNV common rail engines 4TNV94-FHT with After Treatment, and the 4TNV86-CHT, all Stage V compliant, will be on show. These engines are favored by construction equipment manufacturers, especially for excavator and wheeled loader applications because of their lower fuel consumption, higher power density and a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) which needs no maintenance. Already over 300,000 CR-DPF engines are running in the market trouble free.
