YANMAR expands its OEM agreement with KOBELCO

The partnership between the 2 groups began in 2004 in Japan on small machines. In 2015, it expands to the global market for the mini excavators under 3-tonne category.

A global partnership

Kobelco Europe will market 7 additional models of mini excavators supplied from Yanmar : 3 Zero-Tail Swing and 4 conventional-type machines.

These machines will be marketed in Europe, Japan, North America, South Korea and Oceania during the 2nd half of 2015.

This new agreement will enable Yanmar to expand on the global market. For Kobelco, the goal is to strengthen its line-up with compact models.

Kobelco will provide to Yanmar Ultra-Short Swing machines for Japanese market.

Commenting on this agreement, Jean-Marc Reynaud, Vice-President of Yanmar Construction Equipment Co., Ltd., said : “ This agreement is good for Kobelco and Yanmar, both recognized for robustness and fuel saving. It also secures the activity of our Saint-Dizier site in a volatile environment. "
