The Intermat, to be held in April 2024, will have the motto “low-carbon” - a unique opportunity for Wacker Neuson to showcase its comprehensive zero emission portfolio, which already includes around 30 construction machines and equipment - from battery-powered rammers to a battery-powered excavator. “This trade fair is an excellent showcase to present our latest innovations and show visitors the quality, efficiency and ergonomics of our equipment,” says François Escourrou, Managing Director of Wacker Neuson in France. The presence of Wacker Neuson at this year´s trade fair in Paris will focus on personal exchange and intensive discussions with visitors on the key topics of electrification, digitalization and innovation. On approximately 500 square meters, Wacker Neuson will not only present the zero emission portfolio, but also many other products and solutions that make everyday life on the construction site easier.

The emission-free construction site

As a pioneer in the field of battery-powered construction equipment, Wacker Neuson has been continuously expanding its portfolio since 2013. And, in addition to developing new products, it is also working on managing the entire ecosystem for its customers: from the charging infrastructure to services, financial solutions and various usage models to life cycle analysis of batteries.

The latest members of the zero emission family of Wacker Neuson include the first purely electrically powered telehandler TH412e, which, thanks to its compact dimensions of less than two meters by two meters, enables work in confined spaces without local exhaust emissions, for example during application in underground garages or warehouses. Two maintenance-free lithium-ion batteries are available for the TH412e: The 18 kWh is standard, the 28 kWh is optional. The machine is charged quickly and easily via an on-board battery charger - which can be optionally extended with a second battery charger.

With solutions from the zero emission series, entire construction sites, for example inner-city areas, can now be carried out without direct exhaust emissions. At the Intermat Wacker Neuson will present innovations from the zero emission portfolio and will show that switching to e-machines – the #switchtogreen – can be attractive and easy for customers. The new generation of battery-powered rammers, which have been tried and tested since 2013, will also be on display at the trade fair booth.

EW100: a new era of wheeled excavators

Also on display at the trade fair booth: the Wacker Neuson wheeled excavator EW100. The ten tons wheeled excavator is unique in its class and sets new benchmarks. An intelligent Attachment Management with tool recognition, a well thought-out Human-Machine-Interface and the preparation for diverse assistance systems and interfaces are just a few examples. Operator friendliness and efficiency were in focus during development: Thus, work can also be completed using the powerful drive hydraulics and high basic work performance of the EW100, for which a 14-ton-excavator would have to be used otherwise.
