ZETOR at National Farm Machinery Show in USA

ZETOR again introduces its machines in one of the biggest farming shows in the USA – National Farm Machinery Show (NFMS) which takes place on February 15-18, in Louisville, Kentucky. This will be the premiere of the innovated tractors of the FORTERRA model range with STAGE IV emission standard in the USA. The tractor was highly praised in Europe making the finals of the prestigious European competition Tractor of the Year 2017 hosted by professional journalists from the most respected farming magazines in Europe.

Representatives of its subsidiary ZETOR NORTH AMERICA, ZETOR will present the innovated FORTERRA HD the most sophisticated tractor to date. Visitors can also see other models of the ZETOR brand portfolio, including PROXIMA, PROXIMA POWER and MAJOR tractors. In addition to tractors, ZETOR will also be presenting mower and loader models, displaying them together with tractors.

In respect of total North American sales, FORTERRA is the most popular tractor, mainly due to its size, strength and versatility. ZETOR NORTH AMERICA, based in Jacksonville, Florida, has been responsible for sales in the USA and Canada since 2004 but Zetor tractors have been sold in these markets since 1993. Company strategy is to strengthen the position of the ZETOR brand in North America and the markets of Central and South America.

During the four days of the show, the 52nd National Farm Machinery Show offers a complete selection of the best farming products, equipment and services by world-known brands. Housing 860 exhibitors, NFMS is the largest indoor exhibition show in the country. Apart from the latest products, visitors can participate in seminars hosted by farming professionals free of charge.

FORTERRA HD

FORTERRA HD is one of the highest-level models of the FORTERRA range. And is offered in power ranges from 127 to 147hp, robust body, suspended axle, multifunctional control panel and many attractive features.

FORTERRA HD is equipped with efficient in-house designed and produced engines with a 16-valve head meeting the emission standard TIER 4F. The engines are rated for strong acceleration and easy starting even in low temperature. Fuel savings are up to 15-20% depending on work performed.

FORTERRA HD transmission offers a high number of usable gears, which keeps the engine in optimum revolutions both while working or traveling, therefore lower fuel consumption. The transmission offers 13 gears under load, operation speed of 4-12 kph, total 30 gears forward/30 reverse. Control of the tractor is made easier by features like PowerClutch, PowerShift – three-stage torque multiplier; or PowerShuttle – hydraulic reverser.

Bosch electro-hydraulics brings high effectiveness while working with aggregations. Two auxiliary hydraulic cylinders ensure even load of with maximum lifting force of approx. 19,000 pounds. FORTERRA HD is equipped with the unique HitchTronic system which measures soil resistance while plowing and automatically regulates the rear 3-point. This results in fuel savings of 5-7 %.

In the area of ergonomics and comfort, there is a spacious modern cabin. High operation comfort is achieved by suspension of the front axle. FORTERRA HD is also equipped with multifunction panel, essential controls are logically placed.
