Zoomlion Cranes Support Construction of World's Largest "Eye"

The reflector panel of the world's largest Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) constructed by China has recently been assembled. Zoomlion cranes were used in project construction and maintenance due to outstanding quality and favorable brand image.

As the largest-aperture and most powerful single-antenna radio telescope under construction in the world, FAST is known as the "world's eye". It covers an area of 529 mu and has a receiving area as large as 30 football fields.

Leading equipment manufacturer Zoomlion's cranes performed outstandingly in the project, earned high praise from constructors for their high stability, accuracy and safety, and played a significant role in the project.

Zoomlion's cranes involved in the project included TC6517 tower crane, QAY300 all-terrain crane, QY80V truck crane and QY55V truck crane. QY55V truck crane features four-axle all-new truck crane chassis, improves fully in control, is stable and reliable when powered, is fully functional and highly adapted to various operating conditions. The industry's unique safety protection strategy is added to ensure the absolute safety of lifting and the perfection of the crane's micro mobility, working efficiency, energy consumption and system response.

Zoomlion cranes have been favored in numerous major projects, supported the construction of China's first independently developed magnetic levitation line and Milano Expo China Pavilion, and lifted the heaviest nuclear power dome in the world. To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of Chinese people's anti-Japanese war and meet National Day, Zoomlion cranes has recently supported the landscaping of Tiananmen Square.
