VÖGELE MINI 502e & HAMM HD 12e VT | All-Electric Paving and Compaction
In Rangendingen, in the German federal state of Baden-Württemberg, Leonhard Weiss is counting on the concept of an all-electric job site with e-machines from Hamm and Vögele to make the construction process safer and more cost-efficient while simultaneously reducing noise and COâ emissions. The setup: A Vögele MINI 502e wheeled paver (with 22 kWh battery) - Paving of the surface course, lateral feed by wheel loader - Compact wheeled paver with small turning circle - Battery-electric drive: local zero operating emissions and low-noise paving Hamm HD 12e VT tandem roller (with 23,4 kWh battery) - Compaction directly behind the paver - Battery-electric drive: local zero operating emissions and low-noise operation - High compaction force and precision - Advantage as a combination roller: rapid increase in compaction and uniform surface sealing The task: - Resurfacing of the narrow, partly winding sidewalk - Paving and compaction of a 290 m long and 1.00 to 1.30 m wide surface course The project is part of the âNETZbaustelle der Zukunftâ (GRID Construction Site of the Future) pilot job site, an ongoing program initiated by Netze BW., the largest grid operator for power, gas and water in Baden-Württemberg. The goal: to lower emissions and noise while achieving a higher degree of digitalization and safety.
