2012: another record year for RUTHMANN

RUTHMANN remains extremely successful. In 2012, the RUTHMANN group reported a turnover of more than 95 million euros; a 27% increase over the previous year with almost 500 units sold. CARGOLOADER ® sales increased by 46% and STEIGER ® sales rose by 25%.

The positive trend of recent years has continued and reflects significant market share gains as sales and profits reached an all-time high in 2012.

General Manager, Rolf Kulawik commented on the results: "What an amazing year for RUTHMANN. We are obviously very pleased with these sales figures and with the worldwide success of our CARGOLOADER ® and STEIGER ® products. The success of the HEIGHT performance series is simply overwhelming.

The positive results are based on our successful product development process which in turn is based on customer needs and requirements. Superb performance, on-time delivery, and top-quality service also contributed to the success we enjoyed in 2012.

In addition to our models in the HEIGHT performance series (T 460, T 540 and T 7xx for bauma 2013), sales of the new STEIGER ® T 300.1, T 285, and T 330 (7.5 t category) as well as TB 220, TB 270, and TBR 200 (3.5 t category) also increased significantly. Many orders came from the core German market but our export figures are also higher than ever. Our municipal business continued to grow nicely and we are also very satisfied with sales figures from the VERSALIFT ® line.

Our wide range of services expanded further in 2012; Service Point Erfurt was established and Service Point Munich has just been added. We are currently investing heavily in the development of the company. Enhancing our business/production procedures and optimizing our logistics are on the “to-do” list for 2013. RUTHMANN expects business to remain brisk for the remainder of the year”.
